HiRail suspension, Repair & Railway Accounts · Winnipeg, Manitoba

A Standard Auto Works division

Part of the build.
Here for the working life.

Standard HiRail brings Standard Auto Works spring and suspension experience to new truck preparation, working vehicle repair and supported equipment installations.

Standard has helped prepare more than 60 brand new HiRail trucks for Canada’s two major national rail carriers. Our contribution has been spring and suspension preparation before service body and railgear installation, with repair and upgrade work continuing as vehicles enter service.

The Standard foundation

Start with the systems that carry and control the truck.

Standard Auto Spring Works built its reputation around leaf springs, spring packs, U bolts and related suspension work. Standard HiRail applies that practical focus to railway service vehicles while keeping railgear specialist work clearly separate.

  • Vehicle condition before assumptions
  • Measurements before spring fitment
  • Findings before added work
  • Clear referral when work falls outside scope
How we want the work to feel

Easy to begin. Careful underneath.

01

Listen to the concern

The driver or fleet contact knows what changed. That information shapes the first check.

02

Confirm the unit

Vehicle size, configuration, installed equipment and access matter before the booking is accepted.

03

Explain the finding

We separate the visible symptom, the measured condition and the repair option.

04

Respect the boundary

Specialist railgear work is identified and referred instead of being presented as an in house certification.

One Standard family

The right division for the work.

Standard HiRail focuses on supported railway service vehicles. Standard Spring covers dedicated spring and suspension enquiries, while Standard Repair supports broader passenger and light vehicle repair.
