How does Standard help prepare more than 60 new HiRail vehicles every year?
Our contribution has been spring and suspension preparation, including add a leaf work and heavy duty upgrades before later service body and railgear installation. These trucks were prepared for Canada’s two major national rail carriers.
Can Standard support suspension upgrades after the truck enters service?
Yes. We review the working configuration, reported concern and related hardware before recommending spring repair, replacement or a suitable upgrade.
Does Standard complete the entire HiRail conversion?
We provide the agreed suspension preparation and supported body, lighting or electrical work. Hydraulic systems and railgear installation are handled separately by Commercial Truck Equipment or T&B Fleet Services.
