This website provides general information about Standard HiRail and its current vehicle side service scope. It is not a diagnosis, estimate, appointment confirmation, repair authorization, warranty, safety certificate or railway operating approval.
Service eligibility
Service depends on the unit’s size, weight, configuration, condition, installed equipment, stowed railgear clearance, required parts, current shop capacity and technician or equipment coverage. A telephone or email discussion does not guarantee that a unit can be accepted until those details are reviewed.
Railgear and inspections
Standard HiRail does not provide certified railgear inspections, hydraulic systems service, railgear installation, calibration, track alignment or heavy vehicle PMVI certification. Eligible direct railway accounts can arrange Manitoba light vehicle safety inspections within approved station scope. Truck GVWR must be below 4,500 kg. Vehicle diagnosis or repair does not authorize a vehicle for on track operation.
Equipment installations
Service bodies, lights, electrical preparation, IoT devices, connectivity equipment and permitted LiDAR installations depend on the equipment instructions, vehicle compatibility and required owner or operator approvals. Hardware installation does not certify software, network coverage, autonomous operation or safety performance.
Ratings and vehicle capacity
Spring repair, rearching or add a leaf work does not change the manufacturer’s GVWR, axle ratings or legal carrying capacity. The owner and operator remain responsible for lawful loading, maintenance and operation.

Links to maps, sister divisions and independent service providers are supplied for convenience. Independent providers control their own qualifications, estimates, scheduling, work, privacy practices, warranties and website content.
