Questions about this service.
Direct answers help confirm whether the unit and requested work belong at Standard HiRail.
Can you install LiDAR on a HiRail truck?
Permitted installations can be considered. Acceptance depends on the exact device, intended use, instructions, required approvals and the mounting and electrical work involved.
Does fitting LiDAR make a HiRail vehicle autonomous?
No. Hardware installation does not create an autonomous system or authorize railway operation. The application and operating requirements must be independently established.
Talk through the unit and the installation plan.
Have the unit number, year, make, model and a short description ready. We will confirm whether the vehicle and requested work fit our current service scope.
